I had a very pleasant couple of days down at Apollo Bay during the week. It is sometimes essential to get away from the usual day-to-day, and I can’t think of a better place to spend some time than cruising down the Great Ocean Road and exploring the Otway Ranges in all their mystery and glory.
This particular snap is of Hopetoun Falls near the small town of Beech Forest. During winter is a wonderful time to be there as one pretty much has the whole place to oneself, and there is plenty of water flowing. Don’t forget this is right next to the highest rainfall part of Victoria, Weeaproinah, which averages about two meters of rain a year.
Anyway, I spent a very pleasant time there, snapping away, listening to the water cascading and watching the light change. Sometimes being involved in something, even totally immersed in an activity, is the most effective form of relaxation - as long as one is enjoying what it is one is doing.
And I came back on Thursday evening feeling reinvigorated. Yeah!
