This colourful item which, for all I know, may have belonged to “Where’s Wally”, was attached to a helipad in New Caledonia. It seemed to do its job very well, despite there being no helicopters around (at least not when I was there) to take advantage of its expertise. I’m no expert, but I think it was indicating that a strong Northerly wind was sweeping across le plage de l’Anse Vata in the direction of central Noumea at that moment. The nearby windsurfers were enjoying it, that’s for sure.
Luckily for those of us not trained specifically in reading these things, it is all the same strongly graphic and looks quite brilliant against a deep blue sky.
Not really too much more to say, to be honest, but I like it.
